Pop music includes jazz, ragtime, blues, and country.. Not sure this is right.

Early in the 20th Century, jazz music became very popular. It has its roots in New Orleans when African Americans first started playing it before it traveled up to Chicago and Harlem in New York.  I hope this helps friend ^^
