SOLUTION

Mid-point is given by the formula

[tex]\frac{x_1+x_2}{2},\frac{y_1+y_2}{2}[/tex]

So from the points (-4, 5) and (3, 8), the mid-point becomes

[tex]\frac{-4_{}+3_{}}{2},\frac{5_{}+8_{}}{2}[/tex]
